Perfect study spaces. Powerful learning tools. Endless opportunities to discover and grow.

The University Library supports every Tar Heel’s journey — whether they’re diving into research, leading a group project, or finding a quiet corner to think.
From the new Library AI Studio to hands-on encounters with history, our librarians help students and faculty push the boundaries of what’s possible. Through cultural programs, exhibits, and statewide partnerships, we connect people to stories that enrich lives far beyond Chapel Hill.
Carolina’s libraries employ over 180 Library Scholars, students who work in our libraries while they’re students, giving Tar Heels meaningful jobs that build skills for life.
Make your gift on GiveUNC to keep these crucial programs moving forward. When you do, you’ll receive an exclusive University Library magnet — perfect for your fridge, whiteboard, or study space.

Give Now to University Librarian’s CircleI enjoy having a space to decompress in between classes. There’s always a spot that fits what I need in the moment, from the busy 1st floor of Davis to the more secluded corners of Wilson.
