UNC Health Foundation supports clinical care, research and education for areas across UNC Health, including UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, UNC Children’s, UNC Health Rex, UNC School of Medicine and many other divisions, centers and institutes.
Our goal is to increase access to critical outpatient and inpatient care for individuals and communities throughout the state, expanding the options for timely outpatient care close to home and for high-quality, compassionate care in the inpatient setting.

The UNC community continues to mourn the loss of Eric Montross, a beloved champion for young cancer patients. Eric’s dedication to serving others was undeniable and began during his student-athlete days as a Tar Heel basketball star.
The Montross family invites you to honor Eric by continuing his work with your gift to The Be Loud! Sophie Foundation Fund, supporting the UNC Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program Endowment. This vital program is one of the largest and most successful of its kind and helps improve care for young adults battling cancer.
