The Carolina Fund ensures we have the resources to provide flexible funding to meet critical campus needs, seize emerging opportunities that will enrich our students’ experience and advance our faculty’s research and scholarship. Below are some of the ways your support has made an impact:
- The Carolina Fund helps support Carolina Away, on online learning initiative that gives students the opportunity to build relationships with other Tar Heels while diving into innovative, digital courses exploring urgent contemporary issues revealed by the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Five of the current Alumni Distinguished Professors are partially supported by The Carolina Fund. Established in 1961, the Professorships are designed to supplement the salaries of professors whose outstanding teaching and research activities ameliorate the quality and the stature of the University.
