As the nation’s first public university, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is committed to recruiting extraordinary students from every community and every kind of household. When we make it possible for these students to come to Carolina, their talent and their breadth of perspective enrich us all. For these reasons, we remain one of the last universities to admit students without regard to their financial need, and to meet the full need of those who earn admission. This is the right commitment for a university that has always been of and for the public, and allows us to remain a leading, global public university. It is only through private support from generous donors like you that we’re able to fulfill this profound commitment.

Your support allows us to continue recruiting the most talented students, keep student debt low, and make sure that Tar Heels reach graduation ready to take on the world. If you are able, please join us today by making a gift to keep Carolina affordable for all students. Your gift will not just change individual lives – it will transform entire families and communities for generations to come.

The Carolina Covenant Professional Development Grant Fund

The Career Accelerator Program (CAP) is a structured pathway and community for students seeking individualized support on their professional development journey. Created to address the unique needs and questions, strengths and talents, and experiences and identities of Covenant Scholars, the Career Accelerator Program works to ensure Covenant Scholars have the same access to professional networks and skill preparation as their wealthier peers.

Our goal is to provide 50 Professional Development Grants annually ($4,000 per student) to assist with the costs associated with summer internships, which are not covered by other need-based funding sources on campus. We are excited to share that we have a very generous family who have agreed to fund approximately half of this summer’s Professional Development Grant program. We hope others will join them in helping to fund summer professional development experiences for Carolina Covenant Scholars in the years to come.
