The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Center works to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for UNC-Chapel Hill community members of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. The LGBTQ Center offers support and advocacy programs and services designed to address identity development, leadership development, and relationship skills development, educational programs that strengthen allyship and on-campus support for LGBTQIA+ individuals, and community building through social and cultural events.

- Increasing awareness of services on campus that support LGBTQIA+ and allied individuals.
- Cultivating an up-to-date library where LGBTQIA+ campus members of all races, ethnicities, abilities, and interests can find themselves reflected across history.
- Continuing to develop a network of informed campus and community members of all identities with the tools to support people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions on campus.
