    About Us

Student Affairs provides essential programs and services that enhance academic success and personal growth for more than 29,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs at the University. These programs and services challenge and enable students to become compassionate and responsible citizens and leaders of the campus, local, and global communities by fostering an inclusive, culturally diverse living and learning campus environment.

With more than 17 departments spread out across campus, our units pride themselves on helping students continue their learning outside of the classroom to leave their Tar Heel print not only at Carolina but on the world.  Your gifts ensure these premier student programs will continue to support current and future Tar Heels.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: If you are a resident still on campus with a move-out appointment, be on the look-out for an email from Carolina Housing extending move-out appointments into Saturday afternoon and all-day Sunday due to fuel shortage concerns.

We are looking forward to seeing Tar Heels back on campus this fall. Chancellor @KevinGuskiewicz shares that the best way to make that possible is for everyone to get their COVID-19 vaccine #UNC

12-17 year old family/household members of UNC students, faculty or staff can get vaccinated at the Carolina Vaccination Clinic beginning today at 1:30 pm. Book their appointment at https://covidvax.unc.edu/ or walk-in together Wed-Fri 9a-12:30p, 1:30-5p at Student Stores Pharmacy.
